When is the best time to visit Connecticut DMV?

If you want to save time at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), you should visit when it’s least busy. Avoid visiting the following days and hours, which are generally the most crowded:

  • Mondays and Fridays
  • The days surrounding or following a holiday
  • The first and last days of the month
  • The lunch and evening hours. Also, be sure to allot adequate time for your transaction, especially if you’re taking a test.
